Citygate conducted a feasibility study for the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office Animal Regulation Division. This study assessed the feasibility of either a County-owned and operated shelter or contracting with a private non-profit humane society for a joint-use facility. The scope of the study included major alternatives for providing animal shelter service for the citizens of Shasta County, including administration, shelter operations, field operations, and community/public relations. The goal of this study was to determine the most cost-effective action for the County for the next 15 to 20 years.
