Glick has over 40 years of experience in the animal welfare field, including as the director of county animal services operations, director of a humane society, and deputy director of a JPA, as well as through work with state animal welfare organizations in California and Colorado. Ms. Glick retired as the Director of Animal Services for Santa Barbara County, where she oversaw a comprehensive operational review that analyzed the state of the Department at the time, staffing, workload, shelter and field operations, volunteerism, and governance models. She has led several recent animal services operational reviews for Citygate. She has extensive knowledge about public/private partnerships and the emerging trends whereby these relationships improve live release rates and positive outcomes for shelter animals. She has extensive experience administrating animal care and control agencies in a range of sizes; operating spay and neuter clinics; overseeing capital projects, including new construction and physical plant upgrades and remodels; and promoting collaboration and public-private partnerships. She also served on the board, as secretary, and as the Interim CEO for the California Animal Welfare Association (CalAnimals, previously California Animal Control Directors Association). Ms. Glick received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Animal Sciences from the University of California at Davis.
