City of West Hollywood, CA
Aquatic and Recreation Center Staffing and Operations Plan
Citygate recently developed a staffing and operations plan for the City of West Hollywood’s award winning 75,000 square foot Aquatic and Recreation Center (ARC), which opened in Spring 2022. This project is divided into two phases. Phase 1 focused on evaluating the recreation service levels, programming, facility use patterns, community needs, assessing and recommending the required staffing and human resources needs, and any other proposed outsourced contracts predicted to be required for operation. This study also included a thorough budgetary analysis and recommendation for successful facility operation. Phase 2 added the related and complementary components to support the overall administration of the ARC facility. This includes review, assessment, and evaluation of the City-generated key facility operational policies and procedures and support of the City’s effort to prepare an Emergency Operations and Procedures Plan for the ARC facility. A Building Emergency Plan was also developed for the facility. The City staff incorporated the facility staffing recommendations from our final report into its FY 21/22 budget proposal which were approved by its City Council for implementation.
Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District, CA
Planning Department Organizational Review
Citygate completed an organizational review of the Planning Department for the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District in the Bay Area. As part of this review, Citygate evaluated the existing organizational structure and staffing functions, appraised the Department’s current operational policies and procedures, identified redundant systems and inefficient procedures or practices, assessed and identified operational areas that can be streamlined, and assessed how technology is currently used and how it might be better utilized to enhance project processing.
City of Grants Pass, OR
Operations Plan for the Community Development Programs (Including Parks and Recreation)
Citygate completed an operations plan for Community Development Programs for the City of Grants Pass, Oregon. The study focused on the operations of the Grants Pass Community Development functions (Planning Services, Building Services, and Parks and Recreation and Community Development management divisions), an organizational structure review of the Public Works Department, and customer feedback, culminating in an Operations Plan for Community Development functions.
