Citygate assisted the University of California, Davis and the Cities of Davis, West Sacramento, and Woodland with an evaluation of opportunities for regional fire service cooperation in Yolo County, including evaluation of opportunities for partial or complete consolidation. This included an analysis of current and proposed organizational structures, physical asset allocation, financial models, and governance models of UC Davis and partner agencies. At the end of phase one, there were considerable total compensation differences that prevented a near-term merger. The agencies agreed to continue to mutually support each other while they worked overtime to narrow the compensation differences.
